In a similar vein to Little Red Riding Hood, Crimson Bound sets off on a journey through the woods. The Story of Grandmother and The Girl With No Hands influenced Hodge’s Crimson Bound. Instead, Rosamund Hodge was inspired by other works that readers may not be aware of. It is not based on the classic fairy tale versions by The Brothers Grimm or Charles Perrault that you are probably familiar with.
